Indie Authors: Making the Most of Twitter Profiles

Twitter recently changed the layout of profiles, which creates a lot of opportunities for authors. has a very helpful database of articles, including a recent one called “Make the Most of the Twitter Profile Page.” It goes over in detail the changes in Twitter headers.

Below is an excerpt:

In the center column of the window, the list of tweets is now divided into two lists: Tweets and Tweets and replies. This makes it very easy for someone interested in following a user to find and read tweets that aren’t replies to others. But if you want to see interactions with others, all you need to do is click Tweets and replies to see every tweet shared, including replies.

My favorite new user profile feature is the pinned tweet feature. This enables you to choose one of your tweets and “pin” it to the top of the Tweets list so it’s the first one everyone sees on your profile. Use this feature to show off something you’ve shared that you’re especially proud of.
